nice but 2MB ? argghh

2mb is more than enough for CDr burning when some form of burn protection is used. But I don’t know anything about DVDr to say if that’s enough but I’m 99% sure it is. As there is nothing special about DVD burning except for the overall burn size is like 7 larger, but not burnt any faster, so no need for more buffer. Considering there are physical limits with spinning a disc I really doubt we’ll ever see a benefit from more than 2mb buffer as long as we use spnning optical discs.

Some burning apps today can create an additional buffer in RAM, so having an 8MB buffer isn’t as important as it use to be in preventing BORs (buffer underruns). Also, is it just me or is even 10X rewritable discs hard to find when you don’t buy online?
