Plextor 40/12/40 nero and winxp

I have a problem writing with nero under winxp

I have a plextor 40/12/40 and if I want to write a disc it says
“this medium is not writable”
I use nero 5.5.7.8
I used other proggies like cdrwin and clone cd and the problem was the same .
Unde win98 it works just fine

who can help me here

Try disabling the IMAPI service under XP. How to do that read here. Windows XP is known to interfere with burn applications. It also can’t hurt to upgrade to the latest Nero version.

I disabled it but the problem stays
