Plextor 40/12/40 and cactus

i used the search function , but had no succes to find out : is the plextor writer 40/12/40 a succes if you want to copy audio disks (using protections like cactus 100 , cactus 200 , key2audio etcetera ) ??
thanks for the answers

The Plextor40x-writer is capable of ripping/copying all audioprotections that I could put my hands on (Cactus 100, Cactus200 and Key2Audio).
With the use of the latest Plextools (version 1.12+), it’s even easier; just select “single session” in the “drive settings” tab and insert a copy protected CD. The so called “data tracks” are turned into normal audiotracks and can be ripped like any other cd.

Do you know if this option can be activated ONLY with Plex4012?
I have a Plex2410 and this option is “ghost”
Is it the same thing of 1st session only?
Tia.

initially Plextor has this option only for new models…
Keep an eye on firmware releases…
It might be that…

The latest firmware revision for the Plexwriter 241040A has been out for quite awhile; it is version 1.04 (you can download it at http://www.plextor.be/English/technical/downld_firmw_2410TA.html) . I dont understand why the “single session” option would be grayed out becasue it worked for me (as reported in one of my post http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45340)

that’s because you got V1.04

like I TOLD YOU GUYS ? KEEP AN EYE ON FIRMWAREUPDATES

…to all, before or after I will install fw 1.04.
Greetings.
