I've always wondered what speed was best to burn media, especially when burning an SVCD image file, but the threads that I came across only seem to show that with the newer drives burning slower usually degrades performance to some extent. Now in my case my drive can only burn at 16x max and with all the faster media out there right now i'd be interested to see how it fares at lower speeds and higher speeds with this media. I would test the burns myself except the drive doesn't report C1 error reporting and freezes every time I try to run a test that shows C2 errors. If anyone has this drive or a drive of similar speed I'd be very grateful if they could run just 2 tests or so, say one at 16x and one at 4x, and see which contains the most errors. In the past I've always burned my discs at 4x because I remember some of them would not work if I burned them at 16x with fireburner. But that was a while ago and now media has changed and I use nero to burn my images.
