I was wondering if there is a conflict between Plextools (2.18) and the latest version of Nero, which I just installed. Using Nero, it took over 5 minutes to make a 180MB audio compilation - this happened on two drives, the 48x CD writer that came with my Dell PC, and my new Plextor 716A. But using Plextools, I burned the same compilation in about 1:30. I defragged the hard drive, and that didn’t help. I used to use Nero 5 and was able to get fast burns (this was before I installed Plextools, however).
What I noticed in Nero is that it takes a very long time for the buffer to fill.
