Please help me buy something other than Ritek G05s

Hi guys  I am in Canada (Toronto) and since I got my Sony DRU-720A (JY08 firmaware) like a year ago I have been using Ritek DVD-r media. I scanned after burns and got good scores but then I see on these forums that they suffer from degradation and other problems so since you guys are the experts I decided to switch. I cant buy online.

So now I have a few choices. Media at places like Futureshop is too overpriced so cant buy there. I saw here that people like verbatims and sony, so here are the two choices:

Also if these are not good, any of these I could also get:

I also saw mention of different dyes and performance, so what are the things i should look for when buying, like country of origin e.t.c

Thanks a lot :flower:

Hi Sacntumus. Some of the links you listed like your third link have media that I would only buy if I was very hard up for Media. Sony is good media as long as the cake box says Made In Japan. Verbatim media is always a good choice. Seeing that you are in Ontario I would suggest having a look at , they have lots of Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim (most recommended on this forum) available for good prices. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the fast reply  I cant really rder from them because I dont have a credit card and the COD is really expensive :frowning: Luckily I found some stores selling Taiyo Yudens :open_mouth:
And here:
Which one of these should I get for degradation free burning?

(P.S How do I edit my posts?)

You really cant go wrong with this:

Taiyo Yuden DVD-R 8X 50pcs $25.00
I didn’t see any Taiyo Yuden DVD+R 8x (YUDEN000 T02) in your links but if you can find some in your area they are a sure bet as well. As for editing your post there is an Edit tab in the R/H lower corner of your post window but it is only available for 30 minutes I believe.

Make sure they’re real authentic ones… don’t buy from Sonnam they sell fakes. I also reccomend but shipping really kills it…bleh.

Thanks for all the help guys  I didnt have a credit card so was not an optiuon, but i found out i could send thjem money therough email or online banking which saved me the COD fees too! Now i can order the TYs without any worries
