Please help.. Burn process failed problem

Hi…

I’m new to this website but I’ve read the forums and find this website very useful. I’m sorry that I might ask the same question other members might have asked before but I’m really confused with the problems I’m facing and still don’t know what to do. Therefore, I really hope this place could help me out. I’m having problem with the DVD burning process. I’ve tried so many times and there’re still problems.

I try to burn photos into DVD but it said the Burning Process failed. Some CD turned out blank but some had phtos and those CD which had photos turned out that some were incomplete and some were unable to open. At first I thought the problem was caused by the burning speed but after I tried several speeds (from 2.4x-8x) there’re still problems. I also thought I didn’t have enough disk space so I tried make more space but still the burning process didn’t work.

Here the details of the media and software I use:

  • TDK DVD+R (1-16x)
  • Nero 7 Premium

And here’s the log details:

Thank you so much in advance.

Hi and Welcome!

I see 3 possible problem sources:

Nero Version: 7.5.7.0
This is old. Get the latest Nero 7 update (7.11.10, if I remember correctly) from nero.com - it’s free.
Additionally, you may try the free ImgBurn software.

=== CDRom-Device-Map ===
MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-850S D: CDRom0
Together with:

Disc Manufacturer ID: PRODISC.
Media type ID: R04
Matshita drives are known to be extremely picky about blank media quality. See if you can get Verbatim “Made in Taiwan” or “Made in India”. Media made by Taiyo Yuden should work also.

Michael

Thank you so much! I’ll try that…
