I have the DV-400 and it has played every AVI or DivX file I have thrown at it on disc, flash drive or FAT32 formatted hard drive. I use +R DVD media. I don’t think there is anything in particular that needs to be done to play DivX/AVI/XviD files. Make sure your disc is finalized and not in an open session. I found it can’t play +R discs that aren’t finalized. Hard drives must be formatted in FAT32 to be read. NTFS can’t be read by the player and most other DivX capable players for that matter.
