Many factory car CD-players have “issues” with burned media.
The older the unit the more problems with playing burned media.
Some simply will NOT play burned discs no matter what
Others will only play certain brands of media.
Though it must be noted that if you buy blank media at say… Office depot they have many brands of disc but ALL are simply different labels of discs that are made in the same factory in Taiwan.
the factory Ford Head unit I used to have would play burned discs
but it often took loading them and ejecting them several times to get them to play and if play was interrupted for any reason they would often not resume playing until I went through the eject-reload process again…
what kind of media are you using now?
My old ford deck (actually made by Sony) would play most
Cyanine media (blue-green to green) but wouldn’t play ANY Pthalocyanine media. (very pale gold/silver-green)
I never tried it with any Azo (deep sapphire blue) media, but since Azo or Metal-Azo media is essentially unobtainable these days…
