Those who purchase one of the Pirates of the Caribbean Blu-ray titles will likely need a firmware update going by this About.com report. Apparently, the disc makes use of certain Java features that require an an updated BD Java version, which if not present may prevent the disc from playing. Affected players include the Samsung BD-P1000, Philips BDP9000 and the Sony BDP-S1. The LG BH100 player is unaffected.
