hey,I have a pioneer dv-270. I just bought it about 3 weeks ago. It plays most dvds fine. But for some it takes around 5-10 seconds to load and says "no disc". Does anybody know how to fix this problem so it recognises and plays all dvds? Is it a problem with the dvd or the player. I tried the dvds that didnt work on my dvd player on a friends dvd player and it worked fine and that dvd player is an old one.Thanking you in advance, duderoks
I have the same issue with mine xv dv 222 home cinema system.Did you get any answers at all? if so I would be grateful for some advise.
Please, be more specific: what kind of DVDs can not be played, i.e. originals, backups (+ or -R/RW)? What is the media code, if those were backups? (you can check it with DVD Identifier).
Thanks for responding. They are all brand new DVD's for for instance DVD video "Coach Carter" region 2 PAL.What can you suggest?
Please, try to clean the lense of the unit.
Hey,I have the same problem too, i bought this Pioneer XV-HTD7 (the f5 cd changer) some two years ago. It was playing just about any DVD until last week. but now its saying "no disc" to most of the DVD's that worked fine for the past two years.thanx nkchand
could be dust , try canned air..
Most like either the disc is dirty or damaged try to clean the dice pretty well may be that solve the problem also try to use brand name media like Sony, Fuji or Verbatim.
