hello

I am new to all this so please bear with me…

I have tried a couple of different disc types so I dontthink that is the problem.

Its just I want to put a dvd video onto a disc (some dj filming we did)

Every time i put in the blank dvd it is not recognised… nothing happens it sounds like it keeps trying to read it but it dosn’t.

Then it wont even eject!! I tried downloading an updated driver for the dvd-rw however when i do and run the program it says location not found

I have no idea what to do and what I need to show you guys in order for me to start sorting this out??

Can any one help a fool??

I have deleted magic disc and I dont have a clue for where the DVD RW 105 driver should be extracted to?

My device manager has the following shown as active

Device manager shows that
H+H DVD-ROM DVD-41SD SCSI CdRom Device is active.
H+H DVD-ROM DVD-41SD SCSI CdRom Device is active.
H+H DVD-ROM DVD-41SD SCSI CdRom Device is active.
Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-105 is active.

That is quite an old burner and may not recognise the media identity fields of the blank DVDs. You may be in luck with being to upgrade the firmware, but perhaps chef will be along later and be able to give you more specific advice

what firmware would I need?

The DVR-105 is really old now.

What exact media have you tried with? MID?

Find it out using nero cd dvd speed or dvd.identifier.
