Hi, I have a HP Compacq with a Pioneer DVR-K17. I can burn data cd and dvd, but I can’t burn video dvd anymore. I tryed with nero from a file, and I tried from Cucusoft, it seems it is burnning, but when it finishs, the dvd it’s empty and doesnt work anymore.

No way!

A VideoDVD is just a DataDVD with at least a VIDEO_TS folder and some .ifo, .vob and .bup files!

So the problem might be the software you are using, nothing else.

I’m having problems with the DVR-K17 all together. I recently bought it for my Toshiba laptop and it didn’t come with the installation software. I can’t seem to find the software, firmware, or driver anywhere to even install it on my system. Can someone PLEASE help me. I want to utilize my new purchase and all it has to offer.

There is no “installation software” because its not needed. Drivers come with the OS!

My laptop doesn’t pick up on the Burner when I hook it up. It’s not shown in the Device Manager, My Computer or anywhere. When i boot my laptop, I get an error message stating, " IDE#1 Error " I went into the Bios to try to see if everything was alright, but I don’t know what to look for. Please help
