I recently bought a DVR-K14DA in order to use it as (dvd burning) replacement drive for an old laptop of mine. I tried it in the Laptop and it was not recognized by bios. I tried it with an IDE converter ind one of my desktops and it worked perfectly. As far I can see by now the Laptop has only one IDE channel to connect to. Csel does not seem to work there. My Question is: Is there a way to force this Pioneer Drive to use slave setting in order to get it working in my laptop? Shouldn't there be a Flasher or sth. for issues like that? All my search brought up no results for Pioneer drives.
I would appreciate your help!
