Curiously, I had a problem with my Pioneer 117D@117F. I put it on an IDE channel with my LiteOn 20A4H. It worked for a few days without any issues, then it suddenly started to interfere with the LiteOn while it was doing TRT tests with CD Speed, causing the LiteOn to not buffer properly. At first, I thought it was the cable, so I replaced it. Then I thought it might be a power problem, so I used a different molex connection. I even tried a 160P6S LiteOn drive, and it did the same thing, and I tried the Pioneer as both master and slave - still an issue. The IDE channel is fine - I put both LiteOn drives on it with no problems. It seems the issue is definitely the 117.
I've now put it on USB to see if it works there without issues.
