If it doesn't have PAPA or PAP6 and they're MIT, then they're Prodisc (I can't recall the hub sequence for those right now). I have seen more inconsistency with the Prodisc MCC004 than CMC's PAPA discs, but the PAP6 discs are not as good.

Well, I tried that. MUCH better, thank you. Still not TY quality but then again I'm only using these for backups of the older movies I've bought that came as SL DVDs. I imagine that first PIE spike can be ignored near the very start of the disc, since that was my buffer running out of steam and Burn Proof kicking in. Overall, probably the second best media I've used so far.

It's such a shame Maxell is sending the bulk of its DVD-R production to Taiwan. The premium MXLRG03 made in Japan is hands-down some of the best media available in either + or - formats.

Seems T02 is not so well supported at 4x for some reason on this drive No such issues with T02 & BenQ writers at all supported speeds. A forum standard speed scan on BenQ 1620 & a 16x comparison scan from BenQ 1620. No reading issues so no TRT.

Here is another one, again a DL.
Real 111, fw 1.29, burned at 6x with Imgburn.

It took more than 10mins to switch from layer 0 to 1, but it finally continued.
What do you guys and gals think about the burn/scan?
