Pioneer DVR 110d Coaster Problems, Pls help

Hi All,
I just bought a new Pioneer 110d. Since my computer is SATA, I also bought an external case for it and connect it to my PC via USB.

I set up the drive and first tested to see if I could read from it. Everything worked great, even installed Nero from the new drive. Then tried to burn a test CD-R, resulted in a coaster.

Updated Nero.

Then tried to burn CD-Rs and DVD+Rs, all coasters. Each time, I get the error “SCSI command aborted” and then it shows the burn as a fail. Here is the log file when I tried to burn a DVD+R, any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks:

Update:
Ok, moved the drive inside the computer, it works fine now, so it’s something to do with the external case. I’d like to keep this as an external drive if possible, so any solutions would be welcome.
Thanks.

The enclosure is crap and shouldn’t be used with this burner at all.

Only chance would be to find an firmware update for the inside chipset (enclosure) and try again.

[QUOTE]The enclosure is crap

Very succinct and to the point.
