The 208 is still better @6x than the 209 @4x with CMC media, this is a very good result for CMC!

Yep, that´s why my 208D is still my favorite

Verbatim 6x BD-R (another BD-R out of the same #43838 labled 50 pack)

Weird that CMC still has this weird quality range, even within the same 50 pack. Not even close to the very good result above, but good for CMC after all.

Yep, have sometimes very different result with Mediarange BA5.

But at least all media is readable, my MBIR06 from mediarange are sometimes with Dye-problems, sometimes not, even with same cakebox

Not a record result with MEIRA1, still pretty close.

And yet another very good result for CMC, looks like I’ve been lucky with the latest Verbatim 50packs, or CMC improved their discs a lot.

Impressive, but I doubt CMC or another manufacturer improved their quality in the last years.

Well, I haven’t seen CMC media this good before, and now two 50packs in a row.
If you look at the CMC media before these 50packs, there are some I tested with higher error rates, and even the ones with the weird error bump mid disc (which aren’t that bad considering the total number of errors) are worse. So from when I started burning BD-Rs in 2011 to these discs now, there is an improvement for sure.
I’ve no idea though if the quality continues to be this good, we’ll see. For the time being, I like it.

Aside from the two spikes on layer 0, pretty nice burn over all.

Got me a second 208D at eBay, after firmware update to 1.50 it produced this somewhat weird result, gotta see if this is a weird disc or a weird writer.
