Pioneer BDR-205 supported media list for FW 1.03

This concerns the new Pioneer BDR-205 12x Blu Ray writter, the supported media list for the current firmware (1.03).

Thanks for this update SLOVEHEART, this is looking like a pretty exciting drive.

Will be interesting to see how fast the 8x and 10x speeds are.

LG can burn some 2x media at 6x or 8x

I am puzzled about this myself. The drive is stellar at overspeeding 4x to 10x but no 2x to 4,6, or 8x…:sad:

That’s very disappointing indeed … :sad: just like the BDR-203 which even with the recently released firmware update (fw1.11) still won’t overspeed 2x Verbatim media (VERBATIMa). If they haven’t added that feature in the current firmware release, the chance of having it later is very slim I would think …

another thing is why did they stop at 8x bd read speed. LG has the same chip and they manged 10x read speed.
