Pioneer 117d and new firmware

i just bought the pioneer 117d burner and looking to update the firmware,i have ver 107 now…is this the latest from pioneer? thanks

Have you check all of Pioneer’s global sites to see if there are new firmwares available?

The DVR-117D is a very new drive so there are no firmware updates for it yet.

i bought a new drive that has the 107 firmware on it, seems thats the only way to get it atm. i remember them doing the same with the 216 and the releasing the firmware later.

As of this morning, there’s new firmware for the Pioneer 117F… same as 117D?? I hope so:

I’m not having luck flashing it so far, but I’m very likely doing something wrong.

I’m pretty sure that the D and F models will have different firmware downloads; the F model supports LabelFlash, the D does not.

if you want to use the 117F, you need to use DVRFlash and the paramater -ff in the command line, as this is crossflashing, latest 2.7.2 DVRFlash is required

Thanks for the crossflashing tip - I might give it a try.

Just crossflashed my 117D with 117F 1.07 – no problems, worked fine.

I just bought the 117D and I notice the drive is very noisy when running at full speed. It looks like Pioneer is slipping. This will probably be te last Pioneer I’ll purchase

Some peepz can never get “satisfaction”. The first kind nags about slow speeds and the others about noise… :frowning:
