Pioneer 115 firmware UDMA 4

Is there a firmware for Pioneer 115(D), that allows UDMA4 like for my old Pio 109 with 8.58 buffalo firmware?

thanks for your help!

firmware doesn’t control your DMA, if your in pio mode, try unistalling everything under ata/atapi controllers and restarting

@ pioneer,

For the Pioneer DVR-115D to function and operate at its optimal performance (Ultra DMA Mode 4) Requires (Mandatory) the use an Ultra DMA (80-Conductor) IDE/ATA Cable (http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/if/ide/confCable80-c.html).

If a Standard (40-Conductor) IDE/ATA Cable (http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/if/ide/conf_Cable.htm) is used with a Pioneer DVR-115D the Drive will note be able to operate in the Ultra DMA Mode 4.

my pioneer 115D v1.18 is connected as described by bjkg. my transfer mode is UDMA 4.

firmware doesn’t control your DMA,

this is not always true. BenQ 1640 firmware is UDMA 2 while BenQ 164B firmware is UDMA 4. my internal BenQ 1640 is currently flashed using external BenQ 164B BEFB firmware. i choose to use this firmware because i use the drive only for ripping and quality scans, burn with either Pioneer 115D or Optiarc 7201A
