liquidrain101,
First, flash to TDB 112L firmware based on Buffalo’s.

http://tdb.rpc1.org/

And then, if you would like to update to Buffalo 112L 8.09 firmware, you have to use Koba’s patched firmware. Here is the link which explains how to do it.

But after looking through the link tdb.rpc1.org/
i cant see the TDB 112L firmware based on buffalo`s.
Is this it?

PIONEER DVR-112L
Currently RPC1 firmware based on 8.06 INT (Buffalo-Internal) *.

  • TDB Flasher w/Kernel

Didnt want to try it incase it wasn`t the right one.
Thanks for any help on this

Pioneer 112 series drives are @ 1.22 fw where you getting fw 1.24 beats me, Why stop at buffalo 8.06 or 8.09 for that matter when 8.21 is latest.

I just bought it from ebay and ran a system info check in nero that said it was 1.24 firmware.

is it best to go to 8.21?just managed to get my 360backup to copy to disc but stuck at loading screen after the intro…
Is it prob because im not using verbatim discs??
Tried some cheap aone discs as a practice run(verbatim being ordered now)

I have never heard of a Pioneer 112 w/1.24fw ever unless it was released hours ago. Like i said it’s got me beat. My two Pioneers one is at fw 1.22 and other is crossedflashed to buffalo 8.21, As far as copying xbox games etc i don’t think the Pioneer will read the disc. If i were you i’d visit the console fourm as im into copying movies not games. But you have me scratching my head where in the world your 112d has fw 1.24 on it because i looked on Pioneers site and it still says the 112D is at FW: 1.22:confused:, If you want to crossflash to buffalo 8.21 go here and download this file and read it: http://rapidshare.com/files/51249663/Updated_Firmware_and_utility_for_A12J_112L.rar.html

P.S. Crossflashing VOIDS your warranty, If you do it you are doing it on your own free will.

Could be my mistake but im sure thats what it said in nero system info check. Anyway ive got it to 8.06 and backup game working fine even on the cheap dual layers so ill leave it as it is for now.
Thankyou for all your help
