I’m using a Pioneer DVR-111D (sold as DVR-710) on Fedora Core 5. The
drive works with both types of RW media, but it has problems with DVD+R.
After burning a DVD+R with cdrecord, the disc cannot be mounted. This is
the output of dvd+rw-mediainfo:

Using cdrecord -fix doesn’t change anything. I’m using the latest official firmware and the OS is up to date. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Disc status: appendable
Number of Sessions: 1
State of Last Session: incomplete

Not finalized, seems to be the problem indeed.

Which is why my first instinct was to throw it a cdrecord -fix, but that didn’t change anything. Is there another way to finalize a disc? Maybe a different version of cdrecord I can install alongside the Fedora version?

#4

It’s part of the dvd+rw tools?

tried NeroLinux yet?
