Hey guys first time poster
Ok right i need some help im so worried, this is the first forum that ive found where someone has a kind of a solution but for a different drive hopefully theres one for my Pioneer 109 ok below is the thread with the problem ive got but its for a LightOn drive:
http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=84122
My problem is i downloaded the Firmware 1.50 from Pioneer site ealier for my 109 drive i used DVRupdate to try and upgrade my firmware and i got the following when i loaded the correct upgrade files :
Step 1: to kernel mode, OK!
Step 2: send, . . . .OK!
Step 3: wait . . . . . . . . . . OK!
Step 4: send, . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . OK!
Step 5: flash and wait about 30 sec, Error, because Scsi error with ASC:4C ASCQ:1!
This stayed on the screen for 5mins and i thought it finished or something so i closed the programe. I pressed the close Tray button on the DVD-RW drive and there was no power it wouldn’t close so i pushed the tray in. I restarted my PC and windows XP said a new CD drive is detected and i need to restart so i did.
I logged in again the drive still has no power cause the light still didnt come on and the tray isnt responding to me pressing the open button. Thats about it now but XP is detecting a CD drive present it dosnt say DVD-RW but atleast its detecting something.
On that thread above the issue is very simular im hoping praying someone can help me i only brought the dvd-rw over a month ago on ebay there must be someone to reactivate it i mean if people can reactivate a lighton there has to be a way to do it with a pioneer 109 PLEASE HELP im so worried now
