Pioneer 108 problems

right, i got my 108 in march and have always used traxdata originals from disk city, today it crashed 5 times on the trot while trying to burn a movie, so after the last failed burn i tried different media, samsung dvd+r 8x, it won't have it on that too. so i restarted the pc and now it won't burn to anything dvd or cdr, i uninstalled it then reinstalled it but no joy, is it buggered or have you got any other ideas, it's not been flashed cos i never needed to with these disks. thanks

Hmmm it doesn't sound good. :disagree:

You might as well attempt a firmware upgrade to see if that kickstarts it back into action, but it sounds like it might be time for an RMA. :eek:

whats an RMA without wanting to sound dumb and won't flashing it void my warranty

RMA = Return Merchandise/Material Authorization

Flashing wouldn't necessarily void your warranty as long as it's properly flashed with the proper firmware for your model. If you've previously flashed the DVR-108 with RPC1 (region free) or rip-speed firmware, flash it back to official firmware before returning it for repair.

RMA it, they might not have ant 108's left and they might upgrade it to a 109
