Pioneer 106 wont burn Cd's

Ok this problem has just started…for some reason my 106 will not burn cd’s anymore. It will still burn DVD’s but not cd’s heres a log from DVDmate

Hope u guys can help me out here coz im totaly stumped.

Here in lies a problem, you’ve selected ASPI layer, which is missing/not installed, there may be another option in dvd mate to chose a different driver for burning. If not go here http://radified.com/ASPI/forceaspi.htm download, follow instructions on web page, re-boot pc and aspi is now installed and try again with dvd mate.

well i aint applied that program yet and ive just tried some new media and they burned fine…its the Bulkpak cd’s that will not burn on my writer. Ive used Datasafe and Imation and they work fine…could it be the firmware that needs upgrading?? its currently at 1.05

Kromazone, your no doubt probably right, never noticed your firmware revision, the 106 is now upto firmware 1.08, so no doubt that will include new media, you can download from here http://wwwbsc.pioneer.co.jp/product-e/ibs/device_e/fset_dev_e.html

I had a peep in our IRC channel with same prob, i told him to 1st do firmware even if new just rewrite is even as it should be working as it did before on cdr.

2nd i told him to get rid of crapp adapatec aspi and use nero, he asked why so i pasted link i found here and i like this set up.
