Hi mate, welcome to our forum!
I watched your links and I see this Pinnacle Movie kit comes with a capture card, that can capture through analog inputs, just what you need for your VHS-C system. As this is a card, you can't but put it in your system.
If you want to use an external solution, you should go with something that can be connected to any of the available (faster)serial connections on your system. USB can be used, but only 2.0 is fast enough for high quality video. As you only have vhs-c, an USB 1.1 adapter could do.
this product from Pinnacle could do the trick. The price? I found it at for aboutpricewatch for about $60.
There are more products like this one that could do the same, even for a lower price. The great thing of the Pinnacle of the product is however, that it comes with a video editing suite. It's not a great suite, but it can be used (if you want to have it cheap).
To me, there is only one video editing suite: Adobe premiere. As this program costs about $700 I can imagine you aren't really interested. The best way to determine your choice, may perhaps be to buy a video-editing magazine once or twice and see what's available in stores...
You also might want to check our video editing forum; we have quit some experienced and skilled people there.
Hope I helped you out a little...
