Pink Panther 2

I have had the most difficult time burning Pink Panther 2. I never had this many problems burning a movie. I have used the newest AnyDvd, the newest DVDFab software and DVD Shrink. On top of that I have used Nero 9(just useless. I only bought it because it has AVCHD burning software) and the newest version of IMGBurn. I have gone through 5 dvds so far, using Verbatim DVD+R. I just updated my firmware because IMB Burn was saying something about write errors and compatibility issues. I read somewhere it could be I need my firmware updated so thats what I did. I have copied all the error messages I have been getting while trying to copy Pink Panther 2 today. I had nothing running in the background which would interfere with IMGBurn.

If someone could please help me with how to fix these issues and help me copy this darn dvd, I would forever appreciate it

I had no problems using the DVDFab and Imgburn combination.

I did notice that you are trying to burn to fast

I 12:27:17 Write Speed: 6x

I 11:09:10 Write Speed: MAX

I 01:39:24 Write Speed: MAX

You might want to try cutting it down to 4X and try that.

I 01:39:24 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: MCC-004-00) (Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 8x)

Burn speed shouldn’t be an issue with the Verbies. What burner are you using (it might be in those logs but I missed it) and what firmware revision? Also what is the country of origin on the Verbatim discs?

[1:0:0] TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L532A SB01 (E (ATA) is my burner with SB01 firmware upgrade. it used to be SB00.

I was using max speed at one point to burn and i read in one of these forums slowing it down may help, so I slowed it down to 6x. i will try at 4x speed and see what happenes. id be surprised though if the burn speed would be an issue, but then again, it cant do any harm in trying to slow it down some more.

Ive burnt Deviance and other recent movies with no problems at max speed with the other firmware before I upgraded it with the latest firmware while using the same verbatim disks and the same programs ive stated.

I will have to check the country of origin with the Verbatim Disks. I bought them from Best Buy if that counts for anything, lol.

I believe the country of origin is taiwan

I also would not burn at max speed with verbies or any media(IMO)…That said, just for curiosity, try using the previous IMGBurn version…You never know…

Alright, I reinstalled the old version of ImgBurn. I slowed down the burn speed to 4x and still did not work. here is the error message I got:

After the last step I gave up. It couldnt read the dvd after I pushed the drive back in. It will usually run through its cycle, push the drive open, then it tells you to close it again, so you close it, then it finishes writing the dvd, then your done and the movie is good to go. For whatever reason This movie just will not burn, lol. I guess I can go buy the darn dvd, but its sort of a challenge to figure out why I cant burn it. So this error log is from the previous version of the program just before the latest version was released.

I guess I can go buy the darn dvd,

I can no longer assist you in this matter.

Yeah, I honestly cannot figure it out either. Ive tried everything I know and used everything I know of.

I wanted to copy it so I could give it to my daughter and return the other one to her grandparents. She has a tendency of ruining her dvds, so I figured having a backup of the original one would be good so if she ruined it, its no biggie
