Pine 16X DVD

Would anyone know who makes the Pine 16X DVD drive? Also how do you determine if a DC/DVD/CDRW can read subchannel data correctly?

Thanks

For that you can check the hardware compatibility list of CloneCD (found at www.elby.de)

The compatibility list consists only of cd-writers…

hmm…

Perhaps this link will help then?

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I can’t identify the manufacturer of the drive. Pine Group is a rebrander. I have tried a couple of DVD drive Info utilities and the only info I get is
IDE DVD-ROM 16X
Firmware: 1.06
Manufacturer 3 extended charater set characters are displayed

did you try calling and asking them?

Turns out it is an ArTec Drive. Found the patched firmware to remove Region code. Review here or at CDRInfo was pretty positive
