PI/PIF Question

Is it true that even if the PI portion of the scan is bad, but the PIF portion of the scan is good, then it is still a good copy of a disc?

Isn’t the PIF more important then the PI?

In short, yes. However, high amounts of PI errors (even with low PIF / PO errors) can indicate that the media might be prone to increasing numbers of PIF / PO errors later. In other words, the disk might not be that long-lived.

Ah, right. Okay, thanks. I have never burned any discs with bad PI or PIF readings, but I just want to know for reference if it ever happens.
