Phillips DVD burner error

I Have a Phillips DVD-RAM burner. When i take a dvd through dvd shrink then to dvd decrypter i get errors. I am using JVC DVD-R they were pretty cheap so what should I do?

Heres the error

Get better media. That’s what usually fixes that error. :iagree:

Mind posting the DVDD log? The full log? That way we can be sure that the media really is bad.

Please post the log in

tags. Like [CODE*] Welcome to CD Freaks! [/CODE*] will look like

...after you have to remove the asterisks. ;)

where do i find the complete log?

While in DVD Decrypter, select View–Log, try to burn another disc, and if/when the error occurs, copy all the information from the log.

Also, if you are burning images, you might try ImgBurn [essentially an updated DVDD without the decrypting capability]. Both programs can live beside one another. :iagree:

Theres the log.

Very much so.

Can you manually set the write speed to 8x or even 6x [or even 4x or 2x] and see if the burn can start? If so, it’s the media, and you should definitely spring for the better stuff. :iagree:

And if it still doesn’t start…still get better media. We recommend Verbatim, if you can find it. Many here also back Sony and Maxell media. If all else fails, buy Memorex.

Ok thanks…Ireally dont give a shit about price now so what kind of media is the best? Should I go for the DVD+R/RW or -R/RW?

Thanks for your Help!!!

See my edited post above for suggestion of brand.

I like both the +R and -R of all the brands I listed, but I tend to prefer +R myself. :iagree:

Should I go RW just cuz? I tryed ImgBurn and i got the same error message…It usually fucks up when it trys to write the LeadIn

Well Verbatim are easy to find because Wall Mart sells them.

Stay with write once media for the time being. And since you have the opportunity, go Verbatim! :iagree:

By the way, please watch your language. :cop:

Doh, that is kinda weird media…
