Yes, it is drive included in dell inspirion 6400 :a Windows was falling into a BLUE SCREEN while dvd discs reading.
I used firmware update (ad18) from dell support site intended specifically for this drive. It caused error while processing. And there isn't drive in task manager now.
If you kill a drive with firmware not intended for drive in question, don't RMA it. Take your responsibility, trash that drive and buy a new one!
What is RMA? Are you sure that trashing is only way?
