Can anyone tell me what speed this media is?

I have never seen them before…

THANKS!

#2

On the picture it’s 1-2.4x (in the upper right corner)

The ones I got in Green/Black jewel cases are:

Rated as 1-2.4x: RICOH JPN R00
Rated as 1-4x: RICOH JPN R01
Just marked with Video&Data: MCC001
Rated as 1-16x: PHILIPS C16

Thanks guys, appreciate it!

Philips have in same package, variations in quality eg. CMC MAG.F01 (4x DVD+R) depends on area available.

Check here for more opinion: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia.php?dvdmediasearch=philps&dvdmediadvdridsearch=&type=11&size=All&dvdburnspeed=All&order=Views%2FPopularity&hits=50&search=Search+or+List+Media

Yeah, only way of knowing is cracking open the discs :iagree:

#7

I can add to that…the ones I had in green/black jewel cases were 1-8x rated, and were PHILIPS C08s

@Kev - I really hope you don’t mean cracking open the discs

#8

No - but you get my drift

O/T

How were the C08’s? I was very unimpressed with Philips C16 discs under the Infiniti brand.

Just messing with ya, I knew what you meant

[OT]

As for the C08’s…one batch was MIHK, and TRT’ed, scanned and played like crap after a time. The second batch (can’t remember where it was made) fared much better, I still have some of them, they’re fine.

Bet they were MIT :iagree:

My Philips in 2.4x in spindles, in the same color scheme, are CMC R01 (overspeed to 8x with great results). RICOHJPN R00 should also be good. Did you see these on Ebay or?

#12

yeah seen them on ebay lol

Every once and a while I find something that might be of value

Same place I got my Everest Printable TY CD-R’s for a song

Looks good, I also get similar performance from the alternative of CMC R01 overspeeded at 8x. Thanks for the update.

#17

They look like very good discs indeed. Bought myself some Sony 1-4x rated +R discs from ebay - should be either MCC 002 or RICOHJPN R01, so good stuff :iagree:

#18

Quite incomplete list. I would say it probably covers 20% for +R.
To put the full list up of all media and variations will cost me time. But I think a quick look at videohelp and cdr.cz and instant info will probably give folks some more idea’s of what versions are out there.
