I hope someone can help me.
I have a clean Win2k system running with Athlon 1500XP+,
512MB RAM, 80GIG HD of which over 70GIG is free coz I just set it up (again....)
its got a network card, its got a VIA Motherboard, its got a NVIDIA 64MB GFX Card.
I've been trying to use DVDShrink (excellent program BTW), it goes through a random amount of data before crashing (does not get to launch Nero to burn it).
And when I mean crash, it does a reset. The error is "an exception" of somesort.
Ok. Not too much of a problem here...
Used DVDXCOPY, read the whole thing but when it came to formatting it formatted it about three quarters then did nothing, then it moaned about error formatting (no other description).
I've heard on this forum about VIA/NVIDIA problems with DVD burners but could not find an answer.
I've also installed ADAPTEC's ASPI drivers just in case. No difference.
please please please help! Its <<really>> doin my ead in!
Thanks for any help you can give!
