What should I do? Is it the drive’s firmware or faulty discs?

What drive and f/w are you using?

Wow, Philips rebadging Infomedia.
Where did you buy these under the Philips brand?

NEC DVD-RW ND-2500A Firmware Revision 1.06.
Bought a 25x spindle here in Athens, Greece.

No need to answer. A firmware update solves the incompatibility with Infomedia 8x.

Welll these have been arround for some time under the philips brand.
Also there is 16x Philips media with INFOME R30 code.

Problem with this code is that some drives do not support it that well specially old firmwares. It seems that now Philips is usseing them support is slowly getting better. Also don’t forget that these disc’s could have fixed quite fast Philips full approval.
