GSpot 2.5.040728 Beta 8 codec identification utility

jellybelly used our news submit to tell us about Gspot. The folks at Gspot call this a "codec information appliance" The utility will identify which video codec and audio compression method is used on .avi files, whether the matching codec is installed and more. The file is freeware and is only a 29k download.

What"s New in This Release:

  • Fixed bug which caused some wild MPEG durations & frame counts.
  • Fixed audio codec status export field, which always said "not needed".

  • Added wide-char/Unicode support for filename strings filenames with Unicode should load OK now ("File > Load" only, no drag drop yet)
