Wonder what the prices will be like? Anyway, its good to see that the technology is moving along.

Two bad things: - no DVD-R DL support - production 2006!! So we have to wait for mor than 1,5 year. Why are they waiting so long??

according to the article, that’s when they expect the masses will start moving to Blu-Ray. Sony has similar timelines/plans. They said their three wavelength recording/playback head is expected to be commercialised within 2 years here: http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/News/Press/200405/04-026E/ I expect only then we’ll start to see the beginning of what might be called semi-realistic pricing on these units. :g
