Philips CDs

i bought a set of philips cds… ive never used these kind before but i didnt think it would be a problem…

after burning a bunch of video files with NERO, i checked if they worked and they dont… wierd thing is on my computer it reads it as a blank CD and on my bros comp some work perfectly and some dont can i have some help here?

is my computer the one that is messed up or is it these CDS?

my comp runs installation cds and normal DVD cds so i dont think its the comp is it?

is there anything i can do to fix this? need help :confused:

Find the Manufacturer ID Code(MID) using DVD Identifier. See if its on the supported media list for your drive. Upgrade the firmware on your drive, that often adds new media to the supported list.

i installed DVD identifier and it says

No Supported Drives Found (Out Of 1 Available Drive)

it says here that i need

A DVD+R/+RW, DVD-R/-RW or DVD-RAM Writer

i just have a DVD rom drive + ReWritable should this work with my comp?

ill go find and DL some firmware for my drive and tell you how it works out

i only found one firmware and it just allowed me to burn high speed discs correctly

i burned another disc after installing it and it worked on another comp but it reads as a blank CD on mine, this is really starting to piss me off :frowning:

btw if it helps i have a
SONY VAIO PCG-FRV25 notebook

and the drive name is
QSI CDRW/DVD SBW-241
