I read from the service manual for the Philips CDR 870 that it will play all CDs and only record on Audio CD-R and CD-RW. Now my CDR 775 states that it will play computer digits CDs with audio content as long as they are recorded as a single session. I would expect the statement in the CDR870 manual to imply the same. But in practice I find that I cannot play any single session digital CDs burnt on my PC that only contain audio content.
Is this correct behaviour for the CDR870 or should it truly be able to play back non-audio CDs?
