Just cloned my 64GB Agility3 onto my brand new 120GB Agility3...Re-booted without a hitch (Well I had to plug in my external WD drive for Acronis to work). Next step is to upgrade the HTPC (a measly Atom-Ion Acer Revo) memory to 4GB RAM and the 64GB SSD. I won't clone that one though, Acer loaded the Revo with lots of trialware and crap. With only 64GB I had pretty much only Windows on SSD. Now to uninstall and re-install a few key programs to the SSD.
Phase 2. Revo upgraded to 4GB RAM. Going to clone the Revo HD to an SSD tonight.
And the SSD implant went without a hitch. Opted for a cloning for now (didn't want to lose passwords and whatnot - NOT goo for the WAF), might install fresh next weekend.
Its almost painful to watch your other computers limp along after you've installed your first SSD, isn't it?
Yeah, and the Revo needed all the help it could get. Wife was satisfied with it until she used my i7. "Dear, why does SCRABBLE take so much longer to load in the living room?".........
This is why you don't let the wife near your new build. You should know this by now .
Then again, any excuse to upgrade can't be all bad, can it?
