PGpFree messed up my VPN settings

Well , i tried to install PGPFree 7 on my Windows XP machine

It installs a nice VPN adapter to secure the connections … and suddenly … WHAM ! … A nice blue screen …

Since then , i cannot get my Windows XP system to connect to ANY server… No DHCP , no IPX , No TCP/IP , no nothing…

already tried repair , uninstall, disable , enable … no success
already tried to reinstall the NIC … no success
already tried to remove the vpn’s via regedit … no success
already tried a system restore point … no success
already tried making a new connection type … no success
already tried to setup PGP’s vpn via setupnic tool … BSOD
already tried to enable PGP’s vpn via setupinic tool … BSOD

It cannot bind , it cannot bound , it cannot do nothing…
it keeps it’s :Z :a VPN drivers :Z :a even if i disable them… i cannot get rid of them (So much of being admin on your own system)

How the hell do i get rid of the PGPFree VPN , the Windows XP VPN … I just want my system to DHCP connect to my server at 192.168.100.1 … nothing more … i don’t even need that lame VPN crap…

if i do a PING now in a dos box it says “Unable to contact IP driver , error code 2”

//upddate…//

Goddamn… Microsoft has GOT to be kidding me …

I’m trying this little trick now…

k … that also didn’t do any good…

next attempt … remove everything network related from the registry … reboot … and then run the netsh trick… hope that helps…

:a :a :a :a Me is pissed … it didn’t work … so i’m reinstalling XP now … stupid mickeysoft … why aren’t 98% of the games on linux :frowning:

Oh well , while i’m busy , updating it to SP1 as well :).

I’ll let this post stay as a reminder for people who want to use PGP.
