That will never happen. It's allready more compatible becasue it now uses a different raw write mode, but the real write mode (RAW PQ) will never be supported by these drives...
And I think Perfect Copy is a great program considering the amount of 'newbies' that enter the scene every day. Off course a real die-hard like myself and you don't need the program, but a lot of people DO. Especially the ones who don't understand english very well. Perfect Copy comes in a lot of different languages (Dutch was my part ) and this will help a lot of people to not get coasters anymore.
Maybe when it integrates with Copy Detector it will really become populair. It will look something like this I think:
