With Alcohol 120% I made a perfect 1:1 copy of my new Iron Maiden "Dance of Death" CD. It is protected with Copy Controlled protection. I have liteon 40-12-48. I've found out, that if reading the CD from beginning there are about 17000 read errors, which would take days to pass...
S I set
-Skill reading errors
-Fast skip error blocks
-Advanced sector scanning
Before I started to make image in options->general->reading I set the Default A.S.S Jump Factor to 17000.
With this settings my copy came out 100% 1:1.
Alcohol 120% did it again!
For those of you who want to know how I found out those 17000 sectors. In image making wizard in Alcohol 120%, I double clicked on the first track on CD so the Sector viewer poped up. Then I manualy tried to read sector 1 then 2,100,1000,15000 all came out with unrecovered read error. Then I tried sector 17000 which was readable and if then I tried to read sector 0-15000 all were readable with no info on them.
Anyway this worked for me just fine.
With Nero I managed to copy the CD too, but when I listened the copy, there weren't the first 5 seconds of the first track.
