Oem computers (even expensive ones) often use crappy power supply’s to cut costs. Check voltages. Even if they are good, try unplugging anything unnecessary that uses power like extra cooling fans, usb and fire wire devices etc (just temporarily, and do not unplug critical fans like the cpu cooler fan). If removing devices that use power helps, that would also indicate a failing power supply. If it is, don’t wait to replace it. They can kill parts when they finally finish failing (often the motherboard).
Sadly but true. I have been using the thermaltake psu with very good results.
I also hear that coolmasters are good ones
And there are other good ones around, just don’t skimp on such an important part of your system.
