Pay for Downloading Movies - Is it worth it?

I’m still a big fan of p2p but really fed up of getting crap quality downloads. I’m seriously thinking of paying one of those sites (lifetime membership 39.95 etc), unlimited downloading, so-called DVD quality movies.

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INFO ON GOOD SITES AND IF IT IS ACTUALLY WORTH IT OR ARE THEY JUST A SCAM?

Thanks.

You wont find any information here about downloading illegal copyrighted materials. Most of these sites are as mciahel said " A SCAM " .

there is always netflix. But they have monthly subscription fees. But you do get unlimited movies delivered and available for temporary download.
Its also going to be coming to the Microsoft Xbox 360 this fall for all LIVE members.

if you dont wanna dl crap quality vids then you need to look into private trackers (no demonoid ain’t one of em’)
they have strict rulesabout quality

JULIE1962,
Like the others say these sites are pretty much baloney.
Just go to legal sites like AMAZON they offer unboxed movie
downloads pretty cheap, and probably have all the special features.
ZAP.

I signed up to one and paid $59.95 thinking it was genuine then found out it was p2p. It didn’t work and I got my money refunded. Seems they nearly all use the P2P method.
I prefer tp pay and download legally (just a quirk of mine)

I think it would be better to just sign up with netflix.

Unfirtunately (for me) Netflix is in the USA - I live in France.

Unless it’s a legit site only then would it be worth it but then again comes bandwidth problems Cable or DSL or ISP causing slow down is another problem in itself again. That ruins the enjoyment factor and the reason you spent money on it in the first place. Netflix is the way to go if your living in the US much better then blockbuster whom claims to have titles but if you look at their site and then local site are too different animals all together. This is not in anyway a endorsement for Netflix for anyone reading my opinion only. This is my disclaimer.

I think netflix is pretty great. Its affordable, and if you have the speed to do it you can download movies, they ship them too you for free. If its available to you its worth it.
I’m not trying to get people to sign up, I don’t use it. I actually go to Hollywood video (or my friends house, her mom buys all the new movies lol)

I also wouldn’t recommend paying for any type of movie site that sounds too good to be true.

If you want some new movies, although they can’t be downloaded, I would recommend something like Hulu or Joost.

#13

I think it is only worth it if you have very fast download. I Paid for one 40 us.dollar and what i dit get afther a lot of message i need to download limewire and start. This people get rich and we get shit::bigsmile:
But if some one find something that is very good I have modem 512/128 then i am willing to listen Email me jozu.cg@gmail.com

I would agree with the first part sounds too good to be true. If you not sure you should do some investigating into their offer and really see what is written in the fine print. Before jumping into the boat do some investigating into those ventures.

What ever the hell that is, most sites that you pay for some are scams, all except easynews.com and other newsgroups. Most of the groups have been around since the early nineties and they are still going strong. Easynews.com i only pay about 12 dollars a month for all my movies and songs, and since i am a member my gigs are now rolled to about 150 to 175 gigs of download time, and even if i do not use it all they get rolled over to the next month with extra gigs of the new month. So maybe you should try going legal hmmm? im not saying i havent done the kazaa or limewire thing i have actually. Except you get all the viruses and trojans and un-needed porn or advertisments, i would rather have good clean site to use for my pleasure, and keeping it legal for my safety and all the rest who go there. So try it…what the hell its only 12 bucks, you can afford it a month can’t you?.

WTF?! newsgroups content is not legal, and btw you can get the same stuff off bittorrent for free but it’s not as safe

I wouldn’t trust them that much…I’m not that much into using p2p cause of the viruses that go round there, but I’m not also into paying for smth that might not be what u expected. You should try to find out everything u can about it.I for one go to one of those sites where u can watch the movies online,if I am too excited about some movie .

ZELMA
The problem is that these sites even the video they
use is a scam.I still think if you want to download unboxed
movies legally AMAZON, APPLE STORE,are your best bets.

what every1 said is true but i have 3 more letters to add DRM i know more and more sites are offering DRM free music but are they doing same with movies?

#22

You’re probably right, I never used that type of sites because there’s no easy way of knowing if these are to be trusted or not.Rather be safe than sorry.:iagree:
