[qanda]This thread is about the Sony Handycam DCR-DVD205. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]Hi, Any help is appreciated. I have the Sony handycam dcr-dvd205 and also have Sony Vegas 7 and Sony dvd architect 4.5. My trouble started when i bought a Dell laptop. I was always able to read and edit my 8cm discs easily on my p.C. but i found it really slow to render and then to burn to a 12cm disc ( up to 5 hrs to render a 30min film and the same to burn to disc.)
My laptop will not read 8cm discs so i copy them onto a Dvd+rw 12 cm disc and feed it into my laptop.I can then edit and do everything i did on my P.C. and the render times are about 7mins for a 30 min disc and the same for the burn. The thing is i cannot play them now on my tv.I get an error message saying that my reader cannot read the disc.
on my PC i rendered my discs as Mp4 and then burnt them after previewing in Architect. I have tried rendering as MP2 and adding an audio format on my laptop but this still will not work. Is there a conflict between the PC and Laptop? My PC is Windows xp and the Laptop is Vista.
Anyone with any ideas please? before the laptop goes on Ebay.
