Paris Hilton porn owner to pirates: pay up or face litigation.

[newsimage]http://static.rankone.nl/images_posts/2011/03/kKxPq1.jpg[/newsimage]The nature of file-sharing protects those who partake of the forbidden fruit with some measure of anonymity. Barring a subpoena (which still makes it difficult to narrow down the offending party), members of sites like BitTorrent rarely need to worry about their identities being uncovered -- even if they're involved in illicit online dealings, nailing down real names to take the place of numerous "John Does" is a difficult task for most plaintiffs. Affected companies sometimes offer the guilty an opportunity to step forward, admit their crime and pay a fine. It's a win/win move: it (in theory) curbs piracy and helps recoup reported losses. One group familiar with screwing (and being screwed) approves of the model, and announced its intention to give alleged perpetrators a shot at redemption - for a price.

The video must be 10 years old. … It would be surprising if anyone except children were still downloading it.

I don’t know why anyone would have downloaded videos of that thing anyway. One day she will end up in a hotel room with Charlie Sheen, or perhaps Burlesconi, although I hope both have better taste than that.

I recall that the particular video was released before she became (in)famous … and is actually how she broke into the limelight … I’m sure she was well paid for her part in it … and there is a job title for people which make money for having sex with people …

Wasn’t this movie released on torrents before it was even sold to a company? If so, it would be considered public domain and therefore it would be a big scare tactic by said publisher. If I paid for all the Japanese tsunami videos, would I be able to claim that I am owed money AFTER the whole world has seen it?

If I can’t afford to pay, even though I didn’t download. Could I have get a hardship and work it off on Ms. Hilton?

It might be more of a sentence than you could believe
Paris Hilton = porno star …
Most porn stars don’t use condoms …
Aids is rampant through the porn industry … and no doubt other nasty permanent sexually transmittable diseases/infections/fungii …
