i think i’ll MAYBE buy a next-gen burner in 1 (or more) year(s) when the blu-ray:hd-dvd war will be over and/or the prices will be reasonable

If you folow the link for the “some more pictures” you will see that it is quite a cheap option, as: - you can get 10x the info in a disc (the bigger ones -and a surprise cost) - and the drive will cost you “only” about 15x compared to a bulk DVD recorder (internal) - IO is asking “just” € 735 for the internal and € 850 for the external - if you think that you will get all the “free” DRM aspects and to get HD you will have to change a lot of things in your PC(for the time being, as DRM will make it available to people that can change firmware and probably control more things inside it…), we must agree that its a real “bargain”…

I predict that in 18 months the war will be over and one will be victorious. I don’t think we will get a dual burner like plus and minus because the tech is very different.
