A number of times in the last couple of weeks I've burned something to disk with my Pioneer 108 and while the burn seemed to go fine, when it finished the disk was still blank (like I had performed a simulation).
I know I never selected simulation and indeed its occured a couple of times when using CD/DVD-speed "Create disk" option (which AFAIK doesnt even have a simulation option).
The disks themselve dont look like they have been burnt and indeed can be successfully burnt later with apparently no ill effects.
Now what on earth can be causing this? Is it the drive laser crapping out? Media dye problems (not 100% sure but it likely the media was of the same type)? Or something else?
