Well, I only have one burner to do my scans on. I'm beginning to wonder if it may be a problem with Nero or the drive itself.
I did a scan with another proggie (DVDInfo Pro) and it gave me results similiar to Nero's scans except there was a huge PIF error spike right at the very end of the burn where I think all these POF errors are coming from.
There wasn't really anything revealing about the Nero CDSpeed scan. It wasn't a great scan but I didn't see anything which would contribute to all of the POF errors. I'm thinking its the same problem as what this DVDInfo scan is showing because the POF errors don't appear under CDSpeed at all until the very last moment when the scan finishes. For some reason CDSpeed just isn't showing that final spike in the scan.
I wish I could post the DVDInfo scan pic, but I don't have anything installed to downsize the .bmp capture.
Anyway, the only thing of note that I remember changing in Nero's settings recently is setting the Ultrabuffer to 39Mb Manual configuration instead of the Auto default setting.
I'm gonna switch it back, do another burn and see how things scan out. Also I recently made a few changes in the WinXp services configuration. Is there anything there which could adversely affect burn quality?
Anything else I may be overlooking?
